Walking and Dining...

For the past 4 days I have been walking all around Buenos Aries... about 6 to 8 hours a day...great way to see the city. Here are some thoughts that have popped up while walking...

- There never is a need for a 3rd Caperenha
..Buenos Aries is incredibly similar to NYC but everything is cheaper..oh and they speak spanish, duh
- 80´s clothes were bad the first time
- Small children should never have shag haircuts (actually that goes for adults too!)
- Pedistrians DO NOT have the right of way...and the car will hit you if necessary
- Single woman dinning alone...that dont speak Spanish...are always put in the corner...or back of the restaurant, must look bad for buiness
- It is always good to know the language when ordering from a menu...
- Linda means beautiful in Spanish...(as most of you know my Mothers name is Linda)...so I have been correcting people..."no, it is Lily"...no wonder they look at me strange
- In Tango...men lead...all the time!
- Little tortes come with EVERYTHING and they are some damn cute
- Swimming suits down here are really, really, REEALLLYY tiny...of course, so are the woman in them
- What you do is not as important as how you live
- If they know you are American...you can bet you will be charged more...so keep your mouth shut as long as you can
- If you dont´know where you are... keep walking, act like you know and Please...don´t look at your map...you will eventually come to a better neigborhood
- When you dine at night you will be charged a "sitting fee"...and this does not include the tip...
- All wine is fantastic even if you pick the cheaper one...your in Argentina damn it
- Here they eat meat, meat and more meat...salads are rare...just like their meat

The Modern Museum (MALBA)...Wednesday are free...it is small, but interesting...nothing censored that is for sure!

I had a little nibble and a glass of wine at the Museum Cafe...they are really into ham sandwiches here...

A little excitment in the streets...nothing political...just an accident

The oldest and most famous cafe in BA... the oldies and goodies dinned here way back when...

Yep, just nibbled a hell of a torte...yummy

Doesn´t every city have one of these...

The Congresso...

The place where Tango started...or so I am told...

A bit of vino and little ham sandwiches with fish eggs on top...oh la la..
